Robin Lacambra runs GOODBODYFEEL Movement and Therapy, with the goal of building self-awareness, strength and community through accessible and inclusive movement and therapy. Robin practices somatic relational psychotherapy, mindful movement and conflict mediation.
What stood out immediately in our conversation was her openness and willingness to share both her passion for her work and the many difficult experiences that led her there. Robin talks about growing up looking for a place to belong, trying to prove that she was good enough to her father, and confronting the negative chatter in her head.
Robin also experiences chronic pain, and that led her to certain types of movement that made her feel better. She started teaching that movement, and over time found more and more ways of healing her body and mind that she has added to her practice.

Sako Dekirmednjian began his career as a promoter, building relationships and bringing people out to venues across Toronto. Then he made the jump that many promoters dream of, but few actually do, club ownership.
Sako now owns and operates several clubs across Toronto and the United States with his business partners. And while he is in the process of opening his most ambitious venue yet, he sees the way that demographics, economics and politics are changing how, and even if people choose to take a night out.
In this episode Trivelle and Sako discuss how night life has changed, trying to compete with Miami and Las Vegas, and what it's like to raise a family while working in night life.

Ep 08 | Why The Black Community Doesn't Access Therapy
Wednesday Mar 27, 2024
Wednesday Mar 27, 2024
Breanna Phillip never wanted to be a psychotherapist. After an awful experience with a therapist in her teens, she wanted to do social work that helped her community.
But over time she saw that many people in the Black community were not accessing therapy for a number of reasons; from shame, issues of faith, and various cultural and historical factors. That in part led her to become a therapist so she could serve her own community and invite them in.
This wide ranging conversation talks about the reasons why many people of color choose not to seek out therapy, as well as tackling questions of how to succeed in capitalism when you start at a disadvantage, and dating.

Ep 07 | The Immigrant Experience and Mental Resilience with Maz Moini
Thursday Feb 29, 2024
Thursday Feb 29, 2024
Before he was an adult, Maz Moini had lived in three countries, learned several languages and adapted to completely different cultures. All along he carried with him a lesson from his parents, that he was an ambassador of not just his family, but his culture and background.
For many immigrants to Canada, expectations are high. After all, people make great sacrifices to come to Canada, and expect their children to honor those sacrifices. That was true for Maz as well.
Today, Maz Moini is a successful entrepreneur. What he learned from his journey to Canada, and the things his parents taught him have given him the mental resilience to succeed and forge a new path forward for himself and his children.

'The Book of Clarence' and the Modern Church with Pastor Stephen Wright

"The Book of Clarence" is Jeymes Samuel's latest film, about a contemporary of Jesus who tries to pose as a messiah in order to make money. Despite a $40 million budget, and with big names like Jay-Z attached, the movie has flopped, so far making under $6 million. Part of the reason has been the response of Christians, many of whom see the movie as blasphemous.
Trivelle sits down with spiritual mentor and pastor Stephen Wright to discuss the themes of the movie and the implications for the modern church.

Ep 05 | Cory Cash ”I Want to Hit the Very Top of my Potential”
Friday Dec 01, 2023

It's obvious within 5 minutes of talking to Cory Cash that he is an incredibly dynamic person. He needs to be, as the founder and owner of Black Is The New Rich, a podcast where he conducts thoughtful interviews with guests of all backgrounds. But it's a lot more than that, it aims to provide "education and representation to black business owners, strengthening community and empowering individuals," through a variety of different avenues.
Cory seems to be a natural at everything he tries. In his younger years he was a star basketball player until politics got in the way. He picked up a camera one day, started taking photos and then flew all around the world practicing his craft. Now he is building Black is the New Rich into a company that will be a household name.
It's no wonder then, that part way through the interview Cory started interview me, instead of the other way around. It's also no wonder that our conversation went to so many different places, from dreams of reaching the NBA, to the way that relationships are modelled for us, to building a business and learning to adapt to success, and even to a few places Cory has never talked about publicly before.
This was a conversation that could have gone on for hours.

Ep 04 | Ziyaan Virji ”I Was Not Living a Life of Purpose or Intention”
Friday Nov 03, 2023
Friday Nov 03, 2023
In his teens, Ziyaan caught dengue fever. He made it through the illness relatively well and was discharged from the hospital. The next thing he remembers is waking up three weeks later, having no memory of what had happened.
That experience changed his outlook on life. At 16 he started a non profit that now works in 10 countries and has served over 20,000 people. Currently he's running a tech startup that helps non profits maintain consistent donations. And he's only 21 years old.
Hear Ziyaan's story, and his philosophy on serving others and building viable businesses.

Shehrezade Mian's early life took her all over the world, finally settling in Pakistan where she lived out most of her adolescence. In that time she saw the vastly different ways that countries around the world view women, family unites, art, and society as a whole.
As an adult she moved to Canada to pursue a career in film, something that was simply not available in Pakistan. But after graduating with a degree in film production, the realities of working in Canada set in. There simply were little to no opportunities to someone who was not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. Those next few years called into question everything she worked for and everything she left behind, as she set her mind on getting her permanent residency.
Now Shehrezade is a producer and filmmaker who tells stories that are inspired by everything she's experienced. In our interview, we talk about what makes a film 'Canadian' in a country full of immigrants, the complexities of funding and opportunity in Canada, and what it means to carry your identity with you wherever you go.
